Candy

A flow pack, twist wrap and weighed bag need different processes. A photo of the finished candy pack helps identify yours.

Compare Machine Configurations

Ask how the machine will feed your product, where the film meets it and how the ends are sealed. These details help you compare proposed configurations.

Have each supplier mark what is included, what costs extra and what still needs testing. Use the same product and pack requirements for each quote.

The Process How Horizontal Flow Wrapping Works

The machine feeds products into a tube of film. A lengthwise seal closes the tube; the end-sealing and cutting section separates it into packs.

For your line, the questions are how products arrive, how they stay in position and whether the film seals under the proposed running conditions.

What a Sample Test Should Show

Ask for a trial with your product and film. The record should identify the machine setup, pack dimensions, running conditions and how finished packs were inspected.

Check how many packs passed inspection during the recorded run. A target speed alone does not show that.

Prepare Sample Requirements

Your Pack Film, Product Size and Sealing Fit

Measure the smallest and largest product, or the complete group and tray. Send those dimensions with the film specification so the supplier can check pack size and seal requirements.

If you do not know the film structure yet, say so. It can be confirmed with your film supplier and in sample tests.
